Yagnob Valley - one of the most mysterious and remote places in Tajikistan. This barely visited valley thousands of years was inhabited by Yagnobi people, believed to be the last speaking the ancient Sogdian language. Due to remoteness, locals preserved their language and culture through centuries. Very few outsiders saw this virtually untouched part of the world.
The second trek requires to be in good physical shape, the route includes several lanes crossing the river and crossing the snowy, but epically beautiful Tabaspin pass 4040m. In summer, Yagnob is quite hot, but to see the most hospitable people living in valley full of alpine flowers with colorful landscapes and snow-covered ridges will bring you unforgettable impressions.
This trek requires good physical shape, you have to make some river crosses and hike over the passes quite far from settlements, the weather difference is from very hot in lower parts to - 5°C on the passes.
Trek is possible to expand to other routes of Yagnob areas or Northern parts of Zerafshan range. Also possible to organize porters/donkey services to carry the luggage. For logistics and further details please contact us an advance.
